The 20th elcomUkraine with 190 exhibitors in April 2016 in Kiev compared to 148 last year

Ukraine’s major industrial event on smart industrial technologies, power and electrical engineering and energy efficiency

The 20th elcomUkraine is scheduled for 19 to 22 April 2016 at the KyivExpoPlaza in Kiev. The event is organised by the German trade show specialists fairtrade and their Ukrainian partners Euroindex.

Exhibitors of Ukraine’s major industrial event on smart industrial technologies, power and electrical engineering and energy efficiency profit from World Bank loans and the association and free trade agreement between Ukraine and the EU, which marks a milestone for Ukraine. Since 2015 business with Ukraine is now on the upswing as billions in aid to the modernization of infrastructure and industry are being invested. Exhibitors of elcomUkraine 2015 already reported about a more buoyant business mood in Ukraine. Visitor numbers up 8% at elcom 2015 to 7,724 underlined this impression.

So it comes as no surprise that this year 190 exhibitors from 10 countries participate compared to 148 exhibitors last year. In addition to international and Ukrainian technology leaders international pavilions from Germany and Turkey will again be participating.

Germany will again leave a heavy footprint with an important presentation. The official German participation is presented by the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and supported by ZVEI - the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association.

Exhibitors present their innovations in the fields of modern, efficient and sustainable infrastructure in power transmission and distribution, building and industrial automation, electro-technology and lighting technology.

elcomUkraine 2016 will once again deliver as an excellent platform for decision-makers from all sectors of the Central and Eastern European industry, public institutions and the services industry to get in contact with cutting-edge solutions first, and to meet new suppliers. A major event bringing the two sides of supply and demand together for business.

An integral part of elcomUkraine also is its action-packed program of professional conferences, presentations and seminars.

The target of elcomUkraine during the past 20 years has always been to support the Ukrainian industry and Ukrainian SMEs to improve their production facilities and to challenge the Ukrainian government on its way to modernize public infrastructure and introduce energy efficiency in all walks of life.

As Ukraine’s leading industrial trade show between 1997 and 2016 elcomUkraine has succeeded to meanwhile accompany a whole generation and has served as its major platform for technological exchange targeting to enhance cooperation between industrialists and technology suppliers.

It goes without saying that the energy and industrial sector is one of the largest segments of the Ukrainian industry. The sector generates hundreds of thousands of jobs in the country and employs a considerable amount of the Ukrainian workforce.

According to ZVEI-German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association main Ukrainian imports consist of power engineering technology, cables and wires, automation technology, industrial control systems and lighting technology.

And the level and quantity of these imports has been relatively stable also during the past few years, with a peak of 6.5 billion euro in 2012 and a low still amounting to 3.9 billion euro in 2014, figures for 2015 though being not yet available. China, Russia and Germany are the most important supplier countries.
