plastprintpack Nigeria 2017 featuring global players from fourteen countries

VDMA-German Engineering Federation holds symposium

Organized by the German trade fair specialists fairtrade plastprintpack Nigeria 2017 will take place from 28 to 30 March 2017 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos. The event takes place concurrently with agrofood Nigeria.

Exhibitors from fourteen countries  are ready to discuss business with professional visitors from Nigeria and all over West Africa.
The exhibitors come from Austria, Benin, China, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Italy, Netherlands, Nigeria, United Kingdom, South Africa, Togo and Turkey.

Official German Pavilion

For the first time Germany will host an official German Pavilion at plastprintpack Nigeria 2017. The German Pavilion is presented by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry AUMA.

“Representatives from our VDMA Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Association and a Delegation of German member companies participated in the first two international agrofood & plastpack Nigeria trade shows” outlines Martina Claus, Head of Market Development Africa – VDMA  Food Processing & Packaging Machinery Association. “In 2017 we will again present the strengths of German engineering in Lagos. For the first time an official German Pavilion will introduce the best know-how, services and latest technology for the production and packaging of food and beverages.”

German technology leaders presenting plastprintpack innovations include among others BBM, Bosch Packaging, GEA,  Herbold Neue Maschinen und Anlagenbau, Inoex, IPT, Kautex, KHS, Kuhne, Leistritz, Mall + Herlan, Motan-Colortronic, Windmöller & Hölscher and Wittmann-Battenfeld.

VDMA again holds symposium
VDMA again holds a Symposium on packaging and food and drink technology under the slogan “German Technology – Tailor made for foodstuff processing & packaging”. “This year again we will present the strengths of German engineering in Lagos”, so Martina Claus, Head of Market Development Africa, VDMA. “This event will give an excellent opportunity to meet leading manufacturers of machinery for the production and packaging of food and beverages.”

plastprintpack Nigeria 2017 is supported by the Delegation of the European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Advantage Austria, AHK-Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Nigeria, IOPN-Institute of Packaging Nigeria and the Nigerian-German Business Association.

Strong market facts

Nigerian imports of plastics in primary forms amounted to 1.6 billion US$ in 2014 (WTO) and imports of plastics machinery stood at 85 million Euro, imports of packaging technology at 126 million Euro in 2015 (VDMA).
